On Saturday, 12 June, the Pool Committee hosted a School's "Almost" Out for the Summer Pool Party! The weather was perfect, just right for a pool party, and many Box Hill residents and their guests came out to enjoy the day. Complimentary hot dogs, refreshments, and freezie pops were served throughout the day and many terrific door prizes were given away. Gift certificates to Box Hill Pizzaria, Bertucci's and Burger King along with home goods such as candles, snow globe picture holders, a soft throw, and Avon products were among the many prizes given away throughout the day. The top door prize, a week of Basketball Camp at Patterson Mill was donated by Jeroud Clark and won by Ms. Andi McCotter.
Special thanks go to the Pool Committee for planning the event and contributing door prizes and their time, to Sandy Umerley for gathering the door prizes and handing out tickets at the door, to Jeroud Clark and Jim Walker for grilling the hot dogs, for Tami Killian-Sears for donating and making the ice tea and lemonade, to Erin Holloway for donating the condiments, to Barbara Nesbitt for helping setup and cleanup, and to all for working to make the day a success.
